If you have been subjected to my blogging over the years, you have read my various rants about the Longhorn network and college sports TV in general, both here and on other blogs. We have reached a new inflection point in sports realignment where UCLA and USC, Pac-12 stalwarts, are moving to the Rusty East Media rights Alliance…I mean Big Ten… to get larger payouts. Conferences like the ACC and the Pac12, with excellent academics and great portfolios of sporting products, are left to adapt themselves to a duopoly of Fox (big ten) and Disney/ESPN (SEC).
